The Bench

1999 — 2005

I trained as an electrical engineer at Rose-Hulman and learned the difference between a schematic and a plant on a Duke Energy co-op floor — troubleshooting precipitator controllers and generator relays, wiring chemical systems into a live network, running an R&D project on precipitator opacity. A stint as principal hardware engineer at Lockheed Martin, designing analog and digital systems for military avionics, taught the second lesson: a circuit doesn't care about your deadline — it cares whether you understood the problem.

Everything since has been engineering by other means.

The Territory

2005 — 2014

Four years in Mountain View, California, repping active semiconductors taught me elite-team sales — account planning, territory discipline, design-win work. Then I came home to the Midwest and sold to the people who keep plants running: pumps and fluid handling for plastics manufacturers, heavy steel, and power plants — 85% territory revenue growth, consistently a top-three producer. Product development at Berry Plastics then showed me the plastics industry from inside the lab.

By the end I knew the machines, the buyers, and the material itself — from both coasts of the business.

General Manager

2015 — 2023

I joined MAC Industrial Services in 2015 as general manager — a Mount Vernon company cleaning industrial equipment since 1996, pioneers of the off-site water-jetting model for the plastics industry. Eight years running operations: the shop floor, the schedule, the customer's downtime clock.

Chief Technology Officer

The technology chair: process, equipment, and the standards behind the cleaning work. The Purdue master's in construction management ran straight through these years — studying capital projects by night while modernizing the plant by day.

In January 2026 — after a 2025 restructuring — the helm itself. As CEO my function is risk management: capital structure, compliance, and the overall health of the business. Part of that health is who we hire — people engaged in the community we serve, not just skilled hands.

I run on radical transparency: open communication, honest feedback, and the standing assumption that anyone in the building can out-think the org chart on a given day.

Terre Haute's engineering school runs on hands-on rigor — its undergraduate engineering programs have sat at the top of the U.S. News rankings for years. Four years of circuits, signals, and lab benches, with a Duke Energy co-op wiring the theory into a live plant along the way.

2014 — 2016

Ball State's MBA, taken in the territory years — nights against the day job, finance and operations vocabulary layered onto a decade of selling to plants.

The timing tells the story: the degree finished in 2016; MAC Industrial Holdings was formed in December 2015. The education and the company were the same decision.

The industry-standard credential for coatings inspection, earned in 2019 under NACE — administered by AMPP since the 2021 NACE–SSPC merger. It's the eye behind blast work taken to coating-ready spec.

Today the work is deliberately focused: one shop in Mount Vernon, cleaning processing and extrusion equipment for manufacturers across the Tri-State. Equipment is picked up at the customer's plant, restored to inspection-ready condition, and returned on schedule.
